We built 80 modular underground gámme-style suites that blend naturally into the Aavasaksa landscape, as if they have always belonged there. Covered by earth and shaped by arched concrete, these suites maintain a naturally stable indoor climate throughout the year while keeping energy use low.
Inside, guests are welcomed by thoughtful Nordic design — a kitchenette, cozy living area, bathroom and private sauna, with peaceful views toward the surrounding forest and Lapland’s fells. Soft lighting, natural materials and warm tones create an atmosphere that invites you to slow down and breathe. These suites are designed for quiet privacy and sustainability, offering a modern yet grounding way to experience Lapland. Built with respect for nature and a minimal environmental footprint, each suite becomes a calm retreat into the heart of the Arctic landscape.
